MARK GOLENZER
Mark Golenzer is co-founder and President of Armet Capital, LLC. Prior to joining Armet, Mr. Golenzer was CFO of WhiteFence and responsible for the overall financial management of the company including cash management, operational and capital budgeting, financial and business analysis, M&A activities, shareholder relations and reporting. Prior to joining WhiteFence, Mr. Golenzer served as vice president of Carlson Hotels Worldwide and was responsible for all financial activities of the Carlson Hotels Real Estate Company including the treasury and asset management responsibilities for all Carlson owned hotels. Additionally, Mr. Golenzer had served as senior vice president of Radisson-Olympus Capital Partners, an investment partnership between Carlson Hotels Worldwide and Olympus Real Estate Partners, where he was responsible for all financial aspects of the partnership, including raising equity and debt financing to grow the business. He was also the director of mergers and acquisitions for the hotel and cruise line interests of Carlson Hospitality Worldwide. In addition, Mr. Golenzer spent six years as a vice president for Lincoln Investment Management, the investment subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Lincoln National Corporation. Over the course of his career at Lincoln, he was responsible for real estate investing, strategic planning, corporate mergers and acquisitions, private placements and mezzanine finance. Mr. Golenzer began his hotel finance career at Prudential Realty Group in Chicago.
Mr. Golenzer is an active community volunteer and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations currently serving on the board, as well as an active volunteer with Let’s Go Fishing, an organization dedicated to serving the elderly, military veterans and disadvantaged youth.
Mr. Golenzer earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Minnesota, and his M.B.A. with a specialization in finance from the University of Chicago.
JAY FLANNERY (1961 – 2021)
Joseph J. Flannery was founder and Managing Partner of Armet Capital, LLC. Prior to Armet he was a Managing Director in the Global Real Estate Finance Group at Lehman Brothers. For over 30 years he was actively involved in all aspects of real estate finance including: loan origination, mezzanine financing, equity investing, non-performing asset purchases, advisory services, and agent/principal capital markets executions for private and public companies.
As a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers, he had responsibility across several departments, including commercial underwriting, syndication, mezzanine distribution and Lehman private equity funds. Total executions surpassed $15 billion across a multitude of product lines with geographic dispersion across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Europe and many of the Caribbean nations. Mr. Flannery had served on the board of several companies, was a graduate of Cornell University and had published several articles concerning the U.S. real estate market.
Jay is survived by his two sons and many, many friends.
